One of ‘Toronto 17′ terror suspects gets bail

One of ‘Toronto 17′ terror suspects gets bail:
A judge in Brampton, Ont., granted on Thursday the bail application for one of the 17 men accused in Canada’s largest terrorist sweep.
Yasin Mohamed is charged with participating or contributing to a terrorist group and importing firearms. The suspects were arrested last summer and charged with plotting a series of attacks in southern Ontario. Charges against the accused also include participating in or contributing to the activity, directly or indirectly, of a terrorist group and the commission of indictable
offences, including explosives and firearm offences for the benefit of or in association with a terrorist group. Defence lawyers have said that security officials cast their net too wide. Mohamed, who will be officially released on Friday afternoon, has been in custody since his arrest last summer.
