How about a Minga for Malawi.

The definition of a Minga is a coming together of community for the benefit of all.

St. Andrew’s College is hosting an African celebration concert to raise funds for the Malawi Kitchen Project, the construction of a kitchen for the Mulanje Mission Hospital, a facility with 250 beds, but no cooking facilities.

About $30,000 needs to be raised for the project and, in August 2008, students will travel there to work on the final phase of the kitchen, themselves.

The evening will feature African music and dance, hors d’oeuvres and a live auction. “
